Anyone who has tried to order heating oil in Aberdeenshire recently will be aware of an under reported heating oil crisis at the moment. The early snow combined with Christmas has resulted in a huge number of orders swamping the major heating oil delivery companies. Phoning round the companies you are lucky if you can get an order date within 4 to 5 weeks. With the weather turning worse again the situation may become worse.
A new business has just opened promising to deliver 120 litres of heating oil the next day. The idea being to get the oil to you fast to tide you over until your main delivery arrives.
Depending on the price of oil and the mileage looks like you could get a delivery from them for less than £100 which is a lot by bulk delivery standards but not bad for a next day service and 120l could last 3 to 5 weeks if you were careful.
